CES 2008: Vestalife Ladybug iPod speakers flying to CES and Macworld this month

New lifestyle audio product designer and manufacturer Vestalife will debut the Ladybug, the first in its planned series of lifestyle electronic products, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, which runs January 7-10, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Media and buyers alike, who have been loving the Ladybug since it captured the prestigious CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award in November, will finally be able to get their hands and ears on the device, which Vestalife will showcase in the 28th-floor “Napa Suite” (#2865) at the Las Vegas Hilton, high above the CES show floor.
The Ladybug is a new award winning speaker dock for iPod designed for the tween, teen and Gen X consumer markets. When closed, the Ladybug resembles, well, a ladybug, about the size of a cantaloupe. The speaker “wings” fold out and down to expose the dock and provide stereo imaging. A center channel subwoofer faces rearward to project and reflect detailed bass. Combined with intuitive controls, LED volume level indicators, a metallic soft-touch rubbery finish, and superb sound quality, Vestalife intends for the Ladybug to connect emotionally with users and transcend the usual uniform (or iPod lookalike) design of other products in the range. Available in red and silver, Vestalife has also partnered with Element Skateboards to create two limited edition designs with eye-catching, active graphics. Priced at $110.00 for the red and silver Ladybugs, and $125.00 for the Element Skateboards limited edition designs, the Ladybug will be available during the first quarter of 2008 in retail locations nationwide.

“We at Vestalife are thrilled by the attention the Ladybug has received so far,” said Vestalife Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Myk Lum. “Younger consumers want a product that breaks free from traditional limitations of the speaker dock genre, and that actually has a personality they can identify with. At the same time, they are as demanding as audiophiles. The Ladybug fills this important gap in the marketplace, and we look forward to exposing this product and our entire company to a younger yet essential consumer audience.”
Vestalife plans a busy Las Vegas schedule. Starting Saturday January 5, they will participate in the Unveiled Las Vegas preview day, taking place at The Sands Expo and Convention Center. Opening day, January 7th, they will host a press conference from1:00-2:00PM at The Venetian Hotel in the Cassanova Room. That evening, they will host an invitation-only party in their own suite at the Hilton. The brand will be in residence at the suite for press appointments throughout show hours January 7-10 and on January 6 as well. Vestalife will also have a presence at the Sandbox Summit taking place at the Sands Hotel January 7-10.
Vestalife’s MacWorld schedule includes an invitation-only nighttime performance by alternative rock, dream-pop and post shoe-gaze recording artists Silversun Pickups. Co-hosted with Element Skateboards, the show will take place at Club Six in San Francisco on January 16th.
Vestalife comes straight to MacWorld from International CES in Las Vegas and Unveiled New York where the Ladybug won the coveted CES Design and Innovation Award. At CES, Vestalife will host a press conference, suite party at the Las Vegas Hilton and exhibit at Sandbox Summit at the Sands Hotel between January 5 and 10.
