Pontirolo Nuovo, Italy – Simiula today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Quoridor 1.2, their unique board game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The purpose of Quoridor is very simple: to reach first the opposite side of the board. The App is based on the original board game Quoridor, still produced by the french company Gigamic; hence the french name of the game which means “tunnel”.

Where is the catch? To slow the progress of opponents, players can put fences to make the path longer. Think like mice on a lab. There are more rules? When he has run out of fences, the player must move his pawn. The pawns are moved one square at a time and the pawns must get around the fences. One game can last about seven minutes, and during the game amazing labyrinths are made by players.

Quoridor was Game of The Year 1997-1998 worldwide and one of the prizes was the MENSA award given only for mind challenging games. Last year it also won a Finland prize for the new children version. A huge community of players is around the world and on some countries it has national challenges

The same Quoridor App can be installed on iPhone and on iPad, in fact buy one and gets two. On each device it looks different to bring the best gaming experience. It allows to play against the phone with 3 challening levels or against your friends. On iPhone the players in turn give the device of the opponent after he did her action.
