This release introduces new features as well as addressing several compatibility issues in our award-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs. Honored with Macworld Magazine’s Editors’ Choice Award for Best System Enhancement Utility, Default Folder X makes Open and Save dialogs “work the way they should.”

Default Folder X’s custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and recent folders at your fingertips. Pop-up menus let you navigate your folders and open Finder windows. Previews, Spotlight comments and tags are there when you need them. Open, save, and get back to work: Default Folder X is workflow for the rest of us.

What’s New:
Default Folder X 4.3.8 is a free update that adds an often-requested feature: You can now see the width and height of an image in Default Folder X’s popular preview pane. It also corrects an odd problem: New MacBook Pros with automatic GPU switching would think that Default Folder X needed the high-powered NVIDIA graphics card, resulting in poor battery life. This misunderstanding has been fixed.

Other features and corrections have also been added. If you use Google Chrome, OpenMeta tags, AppleScript, Path Finder, Automatic Duck, iTunes FS, rely on certain Default Folder X features or have a big keyboard with more than 15 function keys, this update has something for you.
